OfficeMax Posts A Profit
November 11, 2002

OfficeMax is reporting a third-quarter profit after posting a loss during the same period last year.

The Cleveland-based office products retailer is crediting strong back-to-school sales for the improvement.

OfficeMax says it earned $16.5 million, or 13 cents per share, for the quarter that ended October 26th.

That's compared to a loss of $25.7 million, or 23 cents a share, a year ago.
