Buckeyes Beat Team Nike In Exhibition Opener
November 13, 2002

Brent Darby scored 21 points to lead Ohio State over Team Nike 73-59 in the Buckeyes' exhibition opener.

Sean Connolly with ten was the only other player in double figures for Ohio State, which used all 14 players it dressed.

James Felton's 17 points led Team Nike, a group of former collegians who only dressed six players, four of whom played the entire game. Dave Ferguson added 12 points and Daryl Cunningham ten.

The game was tied at four in the early going, and that was the only time the Buckeyes didn't lead. They were ahead 35-27 at halftime and used a 16-2 run to expand that margin to 51-29 with 13:48 to play. Darby, Connolly and Brandon Fuss-Cheatham each scored four points during that stretch.
